THE ALPHA COURSE
Alpha is an opportunity to explore the meaning of life in a relaxed, friendly setting. The ten week Alpha course runs periodically throughout the year. Each week enjoy great food, laughter, and learning in a fun and friendly atmosphere where no question about life and God is seen as too simple or too complex…questions like—Is there a God? Why am I here? Where did I come from? Where am I going?
THE TRUTH PROJECT
The Truth Project is a DVD-based small group curriculum comprised of 12 video lessons taught by Dr. Del Tackett, instructor of Christian Worldview at the Focus Leadership Institute. This study is the starting point for looking at life from a biblical perspective. Each lesson discusses in great detail the relevance and importance of living the Christian worldview in daily life.
KINGDOM KIDS
This is our Sunday School program for children from age 3 to grade 7. Children remain with parents during the 11 AM worship time, then divide into classes.
AWANA
A weekly club for children in kindergarten to grade 6, blending Bible teaching, Scripture memorization, and tons of fun! Meets Tuesday evenings at the church from 6:30 pm to 8 pm.
REFINERY YOUTH GROUP
Constitutes about 40 youth between grades 7 and 12. This group meets on Friday evenings for a miscellaneous program of social, musical and spiritual activities. Also on Tuesday evenings a Bible study called Growth Group meets at the church.
COLLEGE & CAREER
Focusing on the needs of the young adult within CCA, College and Careers offers fellowship and growth opportunities for the student as well as the employed. C&C sponsors midweek Bible studies and frequent social events; as well, there are numerous athletic and community activities. Connecting and caring for one another is important in this ministry, as many C&C find themselves new to the city or their careers.
WOMEN’S MINISTRY
Moms and Tots meet at the church on Tuesday mornings. Drop in any time between 9:30 and 11:30 AM with your babies and tots for free play, conversation, and coffee! Bring your own kids snacks. No cost.
Bible studies Women meet for coffee-hour Bible studies at the church on Thursday mornings at 9:15 am. Babysitting is provided.
Other large events are planned throughout the year.
MEN’S MINISTRY
Men of all ages are welcome to drop in at the church and experience the special fellowship that surfaces when men pray together.
Men’s prayer breakfast is a time for men to get together for breakfast and a time of prayer for any concerns. It is an informal gathering, and it provides opportunities for men to get better acquainted.
LIFE GROUPS
Small groups are a vital part of CCA’s sense of community and are being run at the youth level and among the College and Careers. There are a variety of groups for adults, some focusing on Bible study and others on outreach and services. All groups include the concept of supportive fellowship for those in them.
